In our previous posts, we discussed the top global, European, Asian, MENA, and African startup competitions. In this post, we will list the top competitions in Latin America. Unfortunately, Latin America has very few startup competitions if compared with other regions around the world. Accordingly, we list only three competitions and we can update it if we found any new one.
The MIT Sloan Latin American Startup competition promotes entrepreneurship in Latin America. It provides a platform for entrepreneurs to present their ideas and early stage startups to top entrepreneurs, venture capital firms, and policy makers from the region. During this event, 10 teams will be able to pitch their business ideas to top judges from Latin America and MIT community. Innotribe Startup Challenge
If you built a product in FinTech and you are located in Latin America, then this is the right event for you. All participants will receive a world class mentoring from experts in FinTech. In addition, they will have opportunity to network with the industry executives and investors. The event organizers will cover all the expenses for the selected teams. South Summit Pacific Alliance
South Summit is the most important entrepreneurship and innovation summit in southern Europe, it is usually take place in Madrid at the end of the year. This year, they created a new version for it in Latin America and called South Summit Pacific Alliance. For more information about the event, please check their own website.
